Neural Bases of Animal Behavior

The collaboration among these research groups aims to conduct comprehensive investigations into neurobiological mechanisms and new therapeutic approaches related to anxiety, chemical dependence, and physiological and behavioral dysfunctions triggered by aversive environmental and social stimuli. These groups focus on broad research in neurobiological mechanisms and new therapeutic approaches related to neural mechanisms regulating anxiety, autonomic activity, motivated behaviors, pain, stress, fear, drug dependence, and hydro-mineral intake.
