General Information
The PIPGCF UFSCar/UNESP brings together, in the state of São Paulo, the joint work of two of the country's most influential higher education institutions. The faculty members from UFSCar are primarily from the Center for Biological and Health Sciences (CCBS) and the Center for Education and Human Sciences (CECH) at the São Carlos campus. The faculty members from UNESP come from faculties located across six campuses (IB in Botucatu, IBILCE in São José do Rio Preto, FC in Bauru, FCAV in Jaboticabal, FCF and FOAr in Araraquara, and CB in Assis).
Goals
The PIPGCF UFSCar/UNESP offers the opportunity for solid training (Master's and Doctorate) to graduate students interested in the field of Physiological Sciences. A curriculum exploring the integrative physiology of different organ systems and the interactions of animals with the environment is an essential part of this training in the PIPGCF.
Scope
Therefore, the PIPGCF UFSCar/UNESP is suitable for professionals who wish to study physiology from an interdisciplinary perspective. The interinstitutional nature of the program promotes interdisciplinarity by providing critical knowledge by combining different subfields of Physiological Sciences, such as comparative and mammalian physiology, ecophysiology, behavior, exercise and muscle physiology, cardiorespiratory physiology, molecular biology, and pathophysiology.
